Project size:

New Construction | Residential | AffOrdable Housing
The project is an early effort in a larger local effort to build 100 affordable homes annually, eventually totaling 3,000 homes, on vacant city-owned lots in Milwaukee. The project is a collaboration between Milwaukee's Community Development Alliance (CDA) and the Local Initiatives Support Corp. Milwaukee (LISC Milwaukee). The homes will be sold for approximately $105,000 to Black and Latino families who make between $12 and $24 per hour. Envision Growth will construct homes close to COA Youth & Family Center and Malaika Early Learning Center. Each house will feature three bedrooms and one bathroom, and will be partially funded by grants from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and the American Rescue Plan Act. The early childhood education centers will be easily accessible by foot from the newly constructed homes.
On the project, Envision Growth will partner with KPH Construction and Habitat for Humanity.
